Hi guys,

Still not working at all. When we tried registering, message comes up “Sorry, there was a security error and your registration was not saved.” Could someone kindly take a look at our Dashboard settings please? I’m confused as to what could possibly now be preventing registrations?

Thank you,

Jen D.

*Update* – Added “/event-registration/” to the WP Super Cache string, and it allowed me to go through the payment process. The payment’s gone through on PayPal, but the confirmation page still reads “Incomplete” (after refreshing the page).

As well, [we] have just received notification that a payment has gone through, but in my personal email, I haven’t received an automatic payment confirmation, or the registration confirmation. Seeing as we’re getting people’s money without knowing it, this is a far more serious issue than what we’ve experienced before.

*Update* Only when I manually confirmed the payment (from the event side), did the proper notifications go through. This needs to go through automatically, right after the purchase. I don’t want to lose trust in our users.

Thank you,

-Jen D.

Hi Jen,

As you are running a caching plugin, you’ll need to exclude all of EE3’s core pages from caching.

By default these pages are:

/event-registration/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/

Although if you have changed any of these you’ll need to find each of the pages set within Event Registration -> Page Settings.

/event-registration/ being cached will cause the security error you mentioned above.

/transactions/ & /thank-you/ being cached causes issues with IPN’s and registration status updated.

Once those pages have been excluded from caching EE should work as expected once again.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your reply. What was happening was that I had added our test page’s slug to the no-cache list, and not /event-registration/. I’ve added the Event Registration page, and it seems to be working fine!

Thank you for confirming this, it’s appreciated!

Thanks,

-Jen D.
