It’s back. I updated to the latest Event Espresso Version 4.9.37.p. And now the Event Espresso App error is back. It says “Sorry you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: ee_read_events,ee_read_others_events,ee_read_private_events” — “# Begin Custom htaccess # BEGIN WordPress # END WordPress” 2. I have also included the custom “# Begin Custom htaccess” code at the root .htaccess 3. I have deactivated and reactivated “Application Passwords” plugin to no avail. What should I do? |
You can go to the WordPress > Permalinks page and make sure that the Post name styled permalinks option is in use. You can also make sure that your homepage redirects to another website because that was an issue before on your website. |

Hello Josh, the permalink is also set properly to Post Name. And no redirections now. Sadly, error still showing. |
It sounds like things were working before. Have you installed any security plugins on the website since the time it was working? |
Hello Josh, yes they were. The only change I have done is update to the latest, no plugin installs etc. |
May I ask are you using the Android app or the iOS app, and which version? |
Me and my officemates tried both and the error persists. I did keep the following stylesheets from the last version because I edited my embedded tickets + messages. I don’t think error comes from here but what do you think: Would you like me send our event espresso wordpress access so you can look around on wordpress and the app? |
I’d actually like to know which version of the app(s) you are using (Android and/or iOS). Changes to CSS files do not affect the EE4 apps. |
