I need to update the ticket name, but the wait list is full, so when I change the name it is asking me to “publish” rather than just “update” Will this affect anything? I was able to change other ticket names and just update, but I think the difference is this one is full.
If you are using the advanced editor then changing the ticket name and clicking anywhere on the editor page to change focus will update the ticket name for you automatically.

However, when you save an event, it will calculate the available spaces and set the status accordingly.
So if you update your sold out event and click publish, EE will recheck the available spaces and change the status to sold out again.
