Hello! I am currently trying to update the email address used when even confirmations are sent. The organization email address is correct in the settings panel under the Event Espresso organization settings but for some reason all the emails come from our default hosting provider. Is there a way to change this? Here is a link to an image detailing the wrong sender confirmation email: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2p82fqt7xo9q7rj/Screen_Shot_2016-03-30_at_4.49.24_PM.png?dl=0 Thanks so much! |

Hi there, Are there any plugins installed on the site that filter the From: field on emails that get sent out? One possible solution is you put the actual email address (instead of a short code) in the From: field in the Message template. |
|
Also, does the email address your are using actually exist within your hosting account? If your account does not exist some providers will show the default hosting domain. |

The email address (shown as the current sender) doesn’t exist with the hosting account unless it’s the default one. This might not be an EE fix but any thoughts on a way to update that? |

This looks like it could be the issue – https://my.justhost.com/cgi/help/206 |
Sorry, I don’t mean the one that is shown, I mean the address your are trying to use. Lets say its events@yourdomain.com you want the emails to be sent ‘from’. If that is not an actual account with your host they may show the default domain. So does the account your trying to send the email from exist? (Not the one that is shown, but the one you have set in the Event Espresso organization settings) |

So the info@michaelstoneteaching.com is the email I want to use but it’s hosting through Google Apps for business. While the default email address @justhost.domain.com. That could be an issue. Will try calling Just Host to figure that out. |
Did the host provide any details? If your email is setup through Google Apps then you will likely need to setup a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP to send your emails through google apps rather than using your hosting providers mail server. |
