Hi,

i’m using Espresso Events Version 4.10.44.p in a local development site. Now there are updates available but i can’t install them because Support License Key is missing. But in settings it says, not to use the key in a development site.
Is there a way to update the plugin without the key in a local environment?

Best regards
Alex Hamann

Hi there,

You can download and install the updates manually on your local site.

I recommend creating a database backup before updating plugins just to be sure. The latest version of EE has a migration which will update the database, so it’s always best to create a backup before doing so just to be safe.

Download the .zip file from your account page.

Go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload plugin.

Select the .zip you just downloaded.

If there is a version of that plugin already installed WordPress will ask if you want to replace it, do so.

You’ll now have the latest version installed.
