Our upcoming events have stopped showing using this shortcode –
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS show_expired=”false”]
Tried this too – [ESPRESSO_EVENTS show_expired=false]

Using 4.9.31.p latest version of EE.

You can see events are ‘upcoming’ as they are appearing in the calendar correctly, however not in the list view below despite the TITLE appearing from the shortcode.

Any ideas why please?

Hi there,

May I ask can you check to see which short code is on this page?

This page – https://bhwclub.org/espresso-events/
has got [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]

We’ve tried a page just with /events/ and the same shortcode, but no difference.

Its been working great for years. Any other suggestions?

If you view the page while logged into the website, then click on Customize, then preview another theme, does the list begin to appear?

Please note, these are questions and not suggestions for a fix. The reason for the questions is we need to find out what’s causing the breakage before we can make a suggestion.

Tried different themes, and no events appear in the list view.
We’ve also noticed that the Venues are not appearing.

We’ve already cleared the cache, so don’t think its that.

Is there anything else we can test for, or view?

Is there a customization plugin activated, or any customizations made to the WordPress theme files?

There has been no additional customization than there was before.

Testing the main Divi theme instead of our child theme, does show the list navigation here – http://prnt.sc/efh8gy
but not the actual events, and there doesn’t appear to be any styling blocking them.

The Twenty Seventeen theme also only displays this – http://prnt.sc/efhder

We’ve got this in the functions.php

//* Event Espresso Return to Event List Link
function ee_mer_change_event_list_url(){
	return '/upcoming-events/';
}

add_filter( 'FHEE__EED_Multi_Event_Registration__set_definitions__events_list_url', 'ee_mer_change_event_list_url' );

Removing it doesn’t alter anything.

It appears to start pulling the events with the cog, and then stops.

What else can we test?

Hi there,

Its not an issue with the above function, it looks like it’s a conflict with something within the theme.

Can you email me a copy of the theme you are using to support[at]eventespresso.com please? As its happening on the parent theme I don’t think this is an issue with your child theme so it’s the parent I need.

I’ll install the theme locally and see if I can see what’s happening.

Also a list of the plugins you have activated on the site might also help narrow this down some.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information.

You can copy of the details from the ‘raw data’ section into a text file, send that to the email above and we can pull the list of plugins from that.
