Some of my customers are receiving an “Unknown error:No Detail” notification when trying to process payment for an event when using Quickbooks as the payment method. Is it possibly related to a different name on the registration versus the credit card?
That may be. If you go to Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Logs and check the logs for those transactions does it show you any additional error codes?
It looks like there is an issue with your QuickBooks token, the connecting to Quickbooks is being refused.
If you go to:
Event Espresso -> Payment methods -> Quickbooks
Click the ‘Disconnect’ button to disconnect your Quickbooks payment method, does it show an error or just disconnect?
If it disconnected, reconnect to your Quickbooks account again and check if payments work then? (You can just add dummy details to the payment info and confirm you get an error that is not just “Unknown error : No detail”)
I disconnected and got a message for “NOT CONNECTED TO QUICKBOOKS ! This payment method requires an Authentication.” I reconnected, entered dummy information and received the unknown error.
I did not click on “Update Quickbooks Payment Settings” last time. This time I did and received the error
An error has occurred:
QuickBooks Payments will not be processed because the App connection was not established. Please visit the Event Espresso Payment Methods settings page and establish a new connection.
It sounds like you need to reconnect the app connection, then click on Update. You can follow the step by step guide in the documentation to get the app connection re-established:
