Hi there,

This was fixed a little while back in version 4.9.40.p, it looks like your currently running 4.9.39.p on your site so updating to the latest version (currently 4.9.45.p) should fix this for you.

Well, I went to my plugins and it is not showing that an update is available.

If your site is part of a WordPress multisite install then it may not show an update available. This will also happen if plugin updates are deactivated. In either case you can follow the documentation that shows how to manually update the software:

That’s because your license key hasn’t been assigned to the site.

Copy your license key from your account page, then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings and add your key to the license key field and save.

Then re-check your plugins menu to see if the update shows.

Under General Setting, there is not a field for the license key.

I have opened up each area…. Any other suggestion?

That usually means your running EE on multisite and you’re not logged into the main site.

Log into the main network site and check the settings there, it should looke like this – http://take.ms/xrBNW

Thanks Tony. I am logged in as Super Administrator. Event Espresso is not network activated because only one site out of the 15 has access to it. Should I network activate to enter my license code, then deactivate network wide and just re-activate on the one site?

Personally, I would just update Event Espresso manually following the steps from the link Josh posted above:

Alternatively you can activate Event Espresso on only the main site and you’ll be able to input the license key on the main site’s Event Espresso > General Settings page. If you’re not using Event Espresso across the network it is recommended to not network activate.
