Sometime over the last week something has changed so that I am unable to update any general settings or custom information fields in settings. The fields are blacked out and there are no submit buttons. I am able to update our events and the event calendar and registration process appears to be working. Also, on the right sidebar in the dashboard, instead of New @ Event Espresso “News from the Blog” loading, our website loads. Event Espresso version 3.1.37.6.P We also have an error message stating, “Automatic updates cannot be setup for an EE addon because of an error in the file. Please contact support, and include a list of EE addons recently installed/updated.” Thanks in advance for help in trying to fix these issues. |
Hello! Are you referring to editing the settings area of your WordPress site or Event Espresso? Your core plugin for Event Espresso 3 is up to date. However, your add-ons are not. Could you manually update those? First, deactivate and delete the Multiple Events Registration add-on and the Recurring Events Manager. Then go to your account page here: https://eventespresso.com/users/clang/#ee3-downloads Click on the multiple events registration add-on. Then click on the recurring events manager. You’ll have two files that will download to your computer. Then upload those files through your WP plugins screen and activate them. That should remove the add-on update message. — |

Thank you, Lorenzo. The add-ons are now updated and the error message is gone. 🙂 I am still having the issue with the Event Espresso settings. All Event Espresso options, except Event Overview, are not currently working. The editable fields are blacked out and as mentioned above, the area where the news from Event Espresso would appear shows my website instead. Welcome any thoughts to get this corrected. |
