Update to new version issue

Hi
I try clicking on the link “Get Version 5.5.1” in the bottom right of the screen but nothing happens. I am currently using – 4.10.3.p
If I have to do a complete new install how do I ensure I don’t lose the existing registration and event data and settings information, please?

Hi there,
‘Get Version 5.5.1’ would be a link to update the version of WordPress installed on your site rather than the version of Event Espresso.
When you say nothing happens, does it take you to another page when you click the above or literally nothing at all happens when you click?
If you want to update Event Espresso you can do that in the plugins menu:
Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed plugins.
Find Event Espresso in the list, does it show an update is available?

Yes, Tony. Apologies for that. The “Get Version 5.5.1” was at the bottom of the EE registration page so I thought it was related to EE.
I neglected to check if the disk space was still adequate. I had run out of space so when I tried to update WP, it would not, but it is working fine now that I have increased the space.
Apologies for that.
