I’ve translated the word “upcoming” in the .po file several times, however the “upcoming” word in English still shows up at front-end. Where should I go now to have this translated? You can check it out here: http://52.50.0.93/ee-event/the-congress/ |
Hello, I was able to see the word that was not translated and it is the current status for the event. Could you let us know if you used the MO file from GlotPress? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-translate-event-espresso/ — |
Yes, I used the mo file from GlotPress. |
Thanks. I believe I found the issue. There is an untranslated string here: What should it be translated to? I’ll then enter it in here (https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/es/event-espresso-es_ES?filters%5Bterm%5D=upcoming&filters%5Buser_login%5D=&filters%5Bstatus%5D=current_or_waiting_or_fuzzy_or_untranslated&filter=Filter&sort%5Bby%5D=translation&sort%5Bhow%5D=asc) and then share a link to an updated MO file. — |
Could you please check the same for “Thank you” and “Registration Checkout” that appear as headlines in their respective pages? I also translated them in po file but still show up in English. |
Translations should be: Upcoming = Próximamente |
Hello, Page titles are translated through your WP dashboard in the pages editor. Similar changes via the WP dashboard (wp-admin) are needed for the ticket names and question groups and questions. — |
But Pages only contain the shortcode (i.e. [ESPRESSO_THANK_YOU]), so how can I edit the headline for that page? |
Hello, If you are referring to the title of the page, then that is updated through WP-admin –> Pages on each page title. Here is what I’m referring to: If you are referring to something else, then please share a screenshot and we’ll share more feedback: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots Thanks! — |

Thanks Orlando, this is solved. However, the issue with “upcoming” still remains. Any idea on how to get this translated? |
Hello, Could you try adding this to your site via a site specific plugin (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/)? https://gist.github.com/anonymous/213620bf64c3f42ebd716f46d29b0cf2 Does it then change? — |
Yes, I got it changed! thanks a lot for your help! |
How could I translate text lines like this: I’ve included translation in .po file, but no change is made on the website. Should I also use the function ee_custom_messaging_changes for this? |
Hello, there is a problem with that specific translation string. We are working on a fix now and will update you once this is ready. — |
Hello again, Here is the string for the translation: Click on the details link and you’ll see two fields for entry. One is for single and the other is for plural: Enter the translation for both and be sure to keep the placeholders and then click on Add translation. You are now a validator so your translations will be automatically accepted. From here, generate an MO file (bottom left area of screen), rename it (so its recognized) and then upload to this location using your preferred SFTP or FTP client (e.g. FileZilla or Cyberduck): /wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages — |
