Unable to select custom "Registration Approved" template

Hi,

I have created a custom “Registration Approved” email template. See:

I am unable to select the custom template in the notifications panel when I edit the event. See:

I would expect a dropdown entry called “APS Workshop at DDL2022”.

I also cannot create a custom template from the default one. The button is missing. See:

Please can you help? I am using EE Version 4.10.38.p

Hi there,

Looks like you’ve set the ‘Override all custom’ checkbox on your default message template, which as the name suggests, overrides all custom message templates meaning you can’t select them.

For the Registration Approved message template, go to:

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Registration Approved.

Edit one of the contexts, doesn’t matter which.

In the ‘Update Actions’ metabox on that page (where you click save) is a checkbox for overriding the custom templates.

Make sure that is UNchecked and save.

You should now be able to create/select custom templates for the Registration Approved message type.

You’ll now need to repeat that for your other message types to allow those to create/select custom templates.
