Unable to register walk-in's for tonight's class

Hello!

We have a class going on tonight that is listed on our site. We set it in the backend so tickets were unable to be purchased on the frontend 12 hours beforehand giving our teachers time to prepare for class. However, we had some walk-in’s tonight that would like to register for the class. Since ticket sales on the frontend have closed, we would like to still register them through the backend. We followed the steps I got from the documentation that said we can “add new registrant” in the backend and get to this screen https://snag.gy/Gpj60U.jpg. I know the tickets are closed but we should be able to register from the backend right? There are 10 spots still left in the class. I try to click the “click to edit this event” but the page reloads and nothing happens.

So, I click “add tickets and continue to registration details” but get this error – https://snag.gy/T2y0Fj.jpg

What can we do in the future when we have walk-ins but tickets are closed on the frontend?

Hi there,

If you don’t have any ‘open’ tickets within the event, then neither the admin or front end will show tickets available. To add walk-ins through the admin you need an ‘open ticket’ which can be either a current ticket or a new one you create specifically for walk-ins but it must be available for sale.

What you can do to prevent users from then registering on the front end is set the ‘Display ticket selector’ to No on the event when creating the ticket, leave that set to no and no users can register on the front end but the admin will have a ticket available.
