Hi Dears,

On my website I have possibilities to register http://mon-permis.info/inscriptions-aux-cours-en-ligne/
When we do the registration the form don’t go to Thank you and no registration is register.

ATTENTION: I work only with invoice.
WP version is 5.5.1-fr_FR
All plugin are updated.

Any idea of what happened?

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

Looks like you are using reCaptcha checkbox, which is known to fail if allow_url_fopen has been disabled on your server.

If you temporarily disable reCaptcha in Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> reCAPTCHA Anti-spam Settings

Then test another registration, does it work?

Either way I recommend switching to Invisible reCaptcha, to so you’ll need to generate a new v2 key and select invisible recpatch. Input the keys in the above section and set the ‘Invisible reCAPTCHA Protection’ section to have at last ‘Registration form’ checked.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your quick answer.

I put the invisible v2 reCAPTCHA and it’s work:
– registration is on the backoffice
– the client have the “ok” page and can open the invoice
BUT
the client don’t receive the email (I checked also in spam).

Messages can take up to 10 mins to generate and send.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages.

Can you see the email listed there? What colour ‘status bar’ (the bar to the left) does it have?

It’s OK!
The email take more than 10 minutes 😉

To clarify, emails work through the queue on a WP_Cron event and so require pages on your site to be ‘hit’ in order for them to function.

The WP_Cron event is set to every 5 minutes and there’s at least 2 stages, but in order for WP_Cron to run a page (pretty much any on the front end) has to be opened so that (in the background) WordPress can check for any WP Cron events. If you site isn’t getting visitors is can take longer than 5 mins per step.

It is also possible to switch that off and send the emails instantly:

Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings -> Generate and send all messages

Set that to ‘On same request’.

However, note that it may slow down the request for your site visitors when the hit the thank you page after a registration as the email are triggered on the users own request (it’s usually not a problem for small numbers of registrations but once you start sending more emails on the same request it becomes noticeable).
