Umlauts not working in email addresses

Hi, I use EE4 and the UTF-8 Plugin from the pre-release channel and the problem is users with umlauts in the mail address cannot register. How can I fix this?

Hi Birgit,

One of the Event Espresso developers will need to add something to make the email field allow German Umlauts. There’s an open ticket assigned to a developer to work on this. When we have something that’s ready for testing, we’ll update this thread.

Hi Birgit,

Event Espresso version 4.8.36.p includes a change that resolves the issue where the form validation did not allow Umlauts.
