Hello, I use EE4 4.9.11. I have downloaded and installed United Kingdom-states provinces pack 1.0. The pack, itself, installs, but none of the citys appear inside EE4. The only thing that appears is some cities created by customers last year. Even with that, only one city appears in the drop down select boxes. I can see, by looking at the file, that the cities are in the plugin, but I don’t know what more to do.
Is there any help?

Hi Omar,
Have you previously installed the UK ‘state’ pack at all?
There’s a new version fo the UK state pack (available here) however the state packs check to see if you have ever activated the plugin previously and will not add the states again if that’s the case.
Its possible to work around that but I want to confirm that’s why your states (which should actually be called counties for the UK) are not being added.

Hey Tony,
Some time ago I had difficulty with my installation. I downgraded to ee3,then re:upgraded back to ee4 at your suggestion. I remember discovering that my ee4 migration didn’t work and re-installing without migrating. I believe that I did try to install the language pack in my original ee4 installation, so yes I think I need to attempt the workaround.

In that case the state pack will skip installing the states within EE as the previous install check will return true.
Are you comfortable using FTP and editing PHP files?
If so download the state pack I linked to above and use that inplace of the other.
With the state pack de-activated, comment out this line:

So you have:
//if ($installed) return;
Re-activate the state pack ONCE.
The states will install within EE now that the check doesn’t return out of the function.
Now either de-activate and delete the state pack (once activated it is not needed again) or remove the modification above so that it check if the state have been installed before again.
