I have set a TXN ID / CHQ # for a transaction and would like this to come through on the registration email. It has a [TXN_ID] shortcode, but it only returns the base ID for that transaction. How can I get this field to display? Do I need to create a custom shortcode?
Hi Tony, we are running 4.8.25.p. I can update though. I am looking to add this into the registration email as I am not sending out the payment processed email as it’s not really necessary in this case. Registration is approved upon payment, so it should be accessible as such. Thanks
I did some digging into this and to get those details within that message template you’ll need to add your own custom shortcode to pull in the payments for the registration and then output the txn_id from within that.
Are you comfortable with PHP?
Take a look at these threads for some info on creating custom shortcodes:
You may need the help of a developer to create this.
