Hi – am not sure if something has changed as we have not run and event for a few years now. When a user gets to the check out page and clicks on “Pay Now” – they are taken to the top of the web page – they either have to wait a long time before the payment takes place or they need to scroll down and click “Proceed to finalise payment” – this is not idea and it stopping users from signing up.
Do you have any suggestions as to why this is happening?
I’ve done a few more tests and it seems the transaction is taking a good few seconds to complete and it looks like the transaction has not worked! Users will easier move off the page as it’s takes too long to load the successful transaction notice.
Usually, there is a section of code within the checkout process used to display errors/notices and a ‘spinner’ for when EE is executing code on an ajax request.
On your site, that section of code isn’t on the page so EE can’t display the above to informal users that something is happening.
That can happen for a few reasons, the first one being custom code to remove the notices.
Do you have any custom hooking into FHEE__EE_Front_Controller__display_errors at all?
