I have a page that is currently 1 column and would like it to be 2 columns. I would like this page http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/ to have the same layout as this page https://quantum.esu.edu/theatre/.

I have a Coming Soon plugin installed. You will need to be logged in for you to see the layout of http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/.

Here’s a good tutorial that shows how to make a 2 column layout web page:

I automatically had 2 columns when I created this site https://quantum.esu.edu/theatre/. Actually when I created the widget using [ESPRESSO_VENUE id=”1″] the second column appeared.

I seem to fail to understand your question.

Josh, I am trying to create a site that has the same 2 column layout as https://quantum.esu.edu/theatre/. The site that I am working on (http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/) the content takes up the entire width of the page and the venue information shows up below the content and floats to the right. In order for you to see what I am talking about, you will need to login because I have a Coming Soon plugin enabled.

I don’t have a log in to your site. Are you trying to customize an Event Espresso template or is this a theme template you’re working on? If the latter, have you sought help from the theme’s support staff?

Josh, this conversation doesn’t seem to be going in the right direction. All I am saying is that I did nothing special for the theatre site in order to have a 2 column landing page. The theme that I use is the same for all of my events.

Where do you want this conversation to go?

Hey Macabee,

As Josh stated, we do not have a login to your site and cannot see anything on this page (https://eventespresso.com/topic/two-column-layout/) besides what’s in this screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/AGTS4m35iqXT

So Josh asked if you are trying to customize a template included with the theme, or an Event Espresso template. We have no idea what you are trying to use, because we cannot see the page in it’s entirety.

To both Josh and myself, it looks like the layout on this page (https://quantum.esu.edu/theatre/) is generated by the theme you currently have installed. So you may need to follow up with the theme developer to get the desired layout you are trying to achieve.

Sorry to have troubled you. I was able to solve the problem. It just took a while.
