Turn off payment method / invoicing if ticket is zero

Hi – we are using the invoicing method to charge clients for events. This works great when we have events that we need to charge for, but for free events, there is no need for us to create an invoice. Is this possible?

After they fill out the registration form for a free ticket, are they actually seeing a link to download an invoice somewhere?
