My thinking was to start using EE4 to create events and quit using the products from the theme. However, when I enable EE4, all of the links to our products instantly break and display 404 errors. I’m not sure why that’s happening. There are really no “Events” in the theme, however, there are “Events” in the Calendarize It! plugin. So I’m not sure if this is a theme or plugin issue.
In order to fix the issue, I have to disable EE4, and then go and reset my permalinks and everything works properly from there on out. Any help and guidance on this issues would be greatly appreciated as we are really needing to build a system to charge for our events inhouse instead of outsourcing them to another processor like we were. We’re a non-profit and trying to reduce our overhead operating costs.
Thank you for your response, that got me thinking in the right direction. Calendarize It does use events as a slug – but they do have a setting within their settings to change it. After changing it, everything works nicely now – thank you very much!
