I have a site running Event Espresso with authorize.net as the gateway.

They are changing their MD5 Hash and I want to make sure my site doesn’t have any issues when they do.

What should I check or change?

I am running EE4 and when I go to Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Authorize.net AIM Settings, I don’t see anything about MD5 Hash in there. I’d read on the support forum to uncheck a box if it was selected, but I don’t have that option on there.

thanks,

Tony

Hi there,

Our EE4 Auth.net AIM integration does not use the MD5 hash so it should just work as is, however Auth.net have deprecated the SIM and AIM intergration methods, see ‘API Support Status’ here:

https://developer.authorize.net/api/upgrade_guide/

So we recommend switching to the Auth.net Accept payment method:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-authorizenet-accept/

AIM and SIM will currently still continue to work as Auth.net continue to support them but eventually they will stop (although we have no idea on when that will actually be).
