I have had my key reset twice, but know the error I’m getting is: “An error occurred while updating Event Espresso: Update package not available.” Any thoughts?? |

Hi Chris, Does your site or server block incoming connections from third party websites? That seems to be the only reason why the updates would continually fail like this. You may need to refer to your host for further information regarding this. |
|
Not that I can think of. Nothing has changed, and I can get updates for other plugins like Gravity forms. I have always had to get the key reset to update, it seems to be a common issue. Do you know why that is? |

I did just notice that my key says “reset pending” net to it in my account here. |
Hello, I’ve just rolled over your Support License Key and created a new one for you. You can find it in your Event Espresso account: https://eventespresso.com/users/cezander/ Please deactivate and reactivate Event Espresso 3 through WordPress Plugins. Then follow the steps below: If you are using Event Espresso 3, please login to your WordPress admin and locate Event Espresso in the admin menu. Then click on General Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate the area for Support License. Now copy the existing key. Then erase the existing key and click on Save Options. After the page refreshes, scroll back down to the Support License area and paste your key and click on Save Options. These steps will refresh your Support License Key for Event Espresso and allow you to update. Let us know if this helps. — |

Thanks for your efforts, EE works nearly flawlessly for our business and I really like the plugin. I don’t want to sound difficult but perhaps I have something set up incorrectly. Thanks |
Are you still not able to update? — |
|
|
Unfortunately, no |
Hi Chris, I am sorry your having difficulties. There are a few reasons for the updates not working, ranging from the server blocking the connections to other plugins doing strange requests. I have asked the developer of our update engine to review your account to check all is in order from our end although this will take a little time. In the meantime if you need to update Event Espresso you could do this manually. We have a guide posted here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#update_manually The process is the same for the Add-ons (de-activate, delete, upload latest version, re-activate) Be sure to make a Full Site Backup beforehand just to be safe. I’d be happy to look over your Event Espresso settings if you can provide temporary login details for me to do so, if so please send via: |

I’ll not be able to provide a login until late this afternoon but will definitely do so. Thank you for all your assistance |

Tony, I just sent you a temporary login through the form you supplied. CZ |
Hi Chris, I can’t see any issues with Event Espresso setup on your site. I reset your license key once again, removed the key from the site, save the settings, replaced the key and saved the settings once again. Event Espresso is now correctly displaying an update within the Plugins page. If you run through the update, hopefully there should be no further issues although we will still investigate your account to check if we can see any issues. Again be sure to have a Full Site Backup before updating, it is always recommended to create a backup before updating your plugins/themes/wordpress itself (not just Event Espresso), just so that if there are any issues, you can always revert to your backup. |

Thanks Tony. Fingers crossed. |
