I am a programmer/developer working with a client interested in purchasing EE4.
Is it possible to install locally on my PC or remotely on Array’s host server a trial version of EE4 with the event calendar and roles/permissions add-ons?
If you cannot allow us to use EE4 and the two add-ons for a limited trial period, would you consider video conferencing with my client and myself so we can watch you demonstrate the features we need, and grab some screen shots for reviewing later?
Thanks.

Hi Paul,

We have a demo site of the full version of Event Espresso 4 you can sign up and use, and a lite version of Event Espresso 4 that you’re welcome to install on your own servers. You can download the lite version by going to your account page and click the EE4 tab under “Free Versions”.

I should let you know that the Roles and Permissions add-ons are not available for EE4, those are for EE3 only.

Josh, Thanks for the amazingly fast reply.

This page https://eventespresso.com/pricing/test-drive-event-espresso/ says that the test drive for EE4 includes “Recurring Events Manager, MailChimp, Members (WP Users Integration), Multiple Event Registration and calendar installed”.

If the Roles and Permissions add-on aren’t available for EE4, we could always just assign new users the standard WordPress role of “Contributor”.

Is linking to iCal and Google Calendar included in the EE4 or EE3 or EE4 lite core, or in an add-on, if at all?

Is the Event Calendar part of the EE3 lite version?

Hi Paul,

The test drive page you linked to is all about Event Espresso 3, which does have all those other add-ons.

The test drive page for EE4 is:

http://demoee.org/

Both versions (EE3 and EE4) have a feature where an ical link can be displayed on the event page so events can be added to one’s calendar application.

The event calendar is a separate add-on from the EE3 lite version, but there is a compatible lite version of the calendar that can be used with EE3 lite.
