Hi there,

event-espresso-es_ES.po

The PO file is not used for the translations on your site, it is used to allow you to translate strings and generate a .MO file for your site to use.

Open up the PO file within POEdit and the save.

POEdit will generate a .MO file with the same filename as the .PO in the same location as the PO file. It is that file you need to upload to the above location.

PO file = Human readable version of translations. (Not used for the actual translation)

MO file = Machine code generated from the PO file. (Used for the actual translations)

Yes, I opened .PO file, in order to translate some strings. Then I generated the .MO file.
Problem is that now both .PO and .MO file are in site in path wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages but however no translation appears, I mean it seems that this is not the correct path to upload that file…

It is the correct path, however, I missed something above.

event-espresso-es_ES.mo

Is also the wrong file name, it should be:

event_espresso-es_ES.mo

Event Espresso checks for event_espresso-{locale}.mo first, then if that’s not available event-espresso-4-{locale}.mo

There is no check for event-espresso-{locale}.mo so that file will not load.

So if you rename the file to match the above, does it work then?

Yes, it works now!!!!!!! I can not believe it!!! It was making me crazy, and problem was a simple character in the file name, incredible.
Thank you very much
