Hello,
I have been using Event Espresso for about six months now. I noticed that when our customers registered, emails were going to myself and one other person but not our primary registration person. I contacted Event Espresso about this and they suggested a few options for other transactional services (one of those being SendInBlue). I set up SendInBlue and everything worked well for a while. Then about two weeks ago the emails stopped. I then did the following things
– I went online and made sure everything was up-to-date (WordPress and Plugins)
– I sent a test transaction from the SendInBlue setup. It went through
– I downloaded the Check Email plugin and tested it and it went through
– I sent a test transaction through Event Espresso and got the following error:
The following errors have occurred:
The email did not send successfully.
The WordPress wp_mail function is used for sending mails but does not give any useful information when an email fails to send.
It is possible the “to” address (christianbrogers@gmail.com) or “from” address (Great Seminars & Books ) is invalid.
EE_Email_messenger – _send_message – 366
The test message was not sent
Messages_Admin_Page – _do_test_send – 2472
It would seem that Event Espresso is using Wp-Mail to send emails and it is not working. Any help would be appreciated, as our customers are not receiving email notifications.
The From address in those emails is invalid, because (Great Seminars & Books ) is not an email address. You can fix by going into the message templates and putting a valid email address into the From: fields of the message templates you use.
