We’re currently running 4.6.16 and we’re seeing “Transaction Status: Incomplete” even though it appears they have paid. Here’s what I’m seeing:
registration

Is there something wrong or is this normal?

Doesn’t look like the image/link works. How about this:

Hi there,

Did the registration status update to ‘Approved’ even though the transaction remained ‘incomplete’?

Yes, the registration status shows “Approved”. The image I provided in my previous post also shows: “Your payment is approved.”

Hi, there was an update for the WP User Integration some time ago and there have been several updates for Event Espresso 4 since your version.

Could you backup your site and update to the current release?

Hi,

We’re not using the WP User Integration add-on. Also, updating the version takes a day to sort out since we had to check all the settings for all our multi-sites Event Expresso is installed in to see if anything changed. Last time we updated, we had to redo the PayPal settings and other settings that got reset. We’d rather not do it unless there’s a serious bug/enhancement we need to fix/get.

Hi, in the screenshot that you shared (this is a cropped version) — there is a reference to WP User Integration:

Were you using it earlier this month and then turned it off?

Hi,

So I talked with the web developer in our office and he confirmed that we are indeed using it for one of our multisite shows, but not on our main site where that person was under.

Yes, the registration status shows “Approved”. The image I provided in my previous post also shows: “Your payment is approved.”

The individual payments status does not effect the registration status. They are linked, but having a payment that is approved does not automatically mean your registration status is Approved 🙂

I wanted to check that the IPN had switched the registration status to Approved even thought the Transaction status is Incomplete.

It isn’t normal but I suspect is caused when both the IPN hits the site and the user returns to the site, both at exactly the same time. However if the registration status has been set to Approved, then that attendee applies to the event so has their place within the attendee limits.

Is you default registration status within the event ‘Pending Payment’? – http://take.ms/RDrf5

Has this only happened to a single registration or all of them?

Hi,

Currently, it has only happened to a single registration.

Hi guys,

I’m having the exact same problem and it’s happening to at least 1 in 5 credit card transactions and it’s been happening for sometime. I upgraded to EE4.6.23.p over the weekend but I still seem to be having the same problem. We are using Mijireh for our hosted checkout and eway.com.au as our payment gateway to CBA.

Just to be clear the Registration and Payment are approved, the registrant is getting their Event Payment Details, Event Registration Details and Your Ticket email notifications but the Transaction status is left as incomplete.

The result from Mijireh looks like:

Hi

I just tried to run the return response url from Mijireh (Removed – Tony) and I get the following error:

An error has occurred:
A valid Primary Registration for this Transaction could not be found.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Finalize_Registration – process_reg_step – 99

Regards

John.

Hi John,

I’m not sure if that registration is real, but when I clicked the link I did view the registration, so I have removed it from public view.

The response you posted from Mijireh shows:

“status”:”pending”,

rather than

“status”:”Complete”,

If you look at the transaction now, is the status still ‘Incomplete’?

Hi Tony,

Sorry I haven’t got back to you earlier but I’ve been offline. I have added a manual payment for $0 to set this transaction to complete.

What I have noticed is that the Invoice show a credit card payment, it’s been accepted but the Total Paid is $0.00. Interestingly if you click on the “Please make a payment” link in the invoice you are transferred to the payments options page and then suddenly the payment is approved.

You can use the following link to test this (it will only work once). This is a production link (REMOVED – Tony).

If you reopen the invoice after going to the payments option page it will then show nothing owing.

Regards

john.

Hi John,

Thank you for the link, I have created a ticket for our developers to investigate this.
