Transaction Items don't match Payment Details

Someone registering for two different event during the same transaction received two separate confirmations from PayPals. Fortunately the grand total was accurate but the Payment Details don’t match the Transaction Items. The transaction items accurately indicate what the purchaser was intending however instead of one payment the Payment Details show different totals neither of which match the totals for the two events they were registering for and consequently caused confusion. Any reason why this got broken into two payments and randomly so?

Hi Jeffery,

Someone registering for two different event during the same transaction received two separate confirmations from PayPals.

Was this using EE4 Multi Event Registration? Adding 2 events to a cart and registering for both.

Or did the user have multiple tabs open with different events, swapping between the two?

Can you email us a screenshot of the transaction please? You can use support[at]eventespresso.com for this but please includea lin to this thread so we know what it refers to.

A follow up to what happened yesterday and happened again. One addition to the original transaction was the user was attempting to make a second purchase using the same computer for a second individual, all during the same session or at least within minutes apart. Yesterday and today two transactions vanished. It appears yesterdays 4 tickets got deducted from the event total but there is no record what-so-ever it ever happened within EE4. What happened today is describe here by my client:
I had someone call in a payment for a purchase and I processed it all the way to PayPal and got an Order Complete message. I then had someone walk up and want to purchase tickets—when I went back to the checkout page, the tickets I had just purchased were still in my cart, which caused me concern. So I went to the back end & checked registrations to see that the one I had just completed went through (it all looked fine).

So I proceeded to create a new transaction with the two tickets the second person was buying. We completed registration but when we hit the button to continue to payment, it skipped the Paypal login page & went to a page like it recognized we had already been there. Tried again & it did the same. Figured we had an issue with the browser remembering we had already done that, so she agreed to purchase the tickets when she went home.

Problem is, on the back end—registration # 1 is gone & the payment info is attached to registration # 2!!!!

Assistance would be greatful since the event is this weekend and more walkups are anticipated which means multiple transactions using the same computer. By the way these two recent issues were experienced by two different people on two different computers at two entirely different location.
