Hi,

On Event Espresso > Transactions > Reports > Total Revenue per Event

I am showing a class that has $37,975 which should only show maybe $400. Any idea why this is happening?

Thank you~

Hi there,

We recently found a bug with the Total Revenue chart that we are working on fixing, however $37,975 from $400 is obviously a big jump that we would not expect from the issue we have found.

Do you have the default registration status for that event set to Approved?

Hi,

Yes the default is set to Approved. We had 35 registrants for that event about $1085.

I noticed in the failed transaction area there is 25 at about $7900. However I believe these are from when we first tested the site before. Now that all events are set to “Approved” there should be no failed transactions unless a credit card is actually charged and doesn’t go through (We only offer credit card payment)?

I can send a screenshot if you would like

Thank you!

That’s not exactly correct because the Approved status is for the registration. A transaction could still be failed, abandoned, or incomplete if they do not pay.

By setting the default registration status to Approved your basically saying you don’t care what the payment status is for the registration, that user has a place in the event, is that expected?

Most users want ‘Pending payment’ as the default registration status.

Yes the default is set to Approved. We had 35 registrants for that event about $1085.

That sounds ‘expected’ based on the current issue with the reports. Basically each registration is adding the ‘total price’ to the report each time, so a group registration of 5 ticket ($20 each) is actually adding $500 to the revenue total (5 x $100 {registration total value})

Thanks for explaining the report issue that makes perfect sense!

The bug that Tony mentioned earlier was fixed and the fix was included in the Event Espresso 4.8.36.p update, which was released earlier today.
