Hi EE,
My calendar tool tips persist until the next click or link mouseover. Quite annoying because they obscure other calendar events.
I’ve checked the js here:
/wp-content/plugins/espresso-calendar/scripts/espresso_calendar.js at Line 232
Where it says:
hide: “unfocus”,
So why don’t my tooltips hide when the cursor moves away?
Just out of interest I tried the code edit suggested here:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/hiding-tooltips/
This broke my site at the calendar and my scripter returned the error:
SyntaxError: illegalcharacter: (on column 55)
Double, triple checked the syntax around this line but always the same result.
What’s going on here then?
Grateful for your assistance,
Tony

Hi Tony,
That is the default behavior. It does not hide itself on moving the mouse outside of the tooltip area.
You can test this out on our demo/testing site for Event Espresso 3.

Hi Lorenzo,
So how can I change that behavior?
The persistent tooltip causes problems especially on mobile devices. I would like the tooltip to hide after moving the mouse away or with a very short delay.
Can you direct me the script for this?
Cheers,
Tony
