Am I the only one who is having problems after the upgrade to WordPress v.5.3.?
My time and dates in the singles events are changing.
How do I correct that and get it to work as supposed?
The general settings regarding timezone and date are accurate and reflect the country I’m in – so that’s not the problem.
Any suggestions?
It means your support license gives you access to Event Espresso 4, it doesn’t make Event Espresso 3 available too.
If you intend to eventually upgrade to Event Espresso 4, then it’s probably best to keep the EE4 license. Then what you could do for your site in the meantime is download the update from GitHub and reinstall EE3.
1) Download the new version of EE3 from GitHub
2) Deactivate and delete the old version of Event Espresso 3.
3) Upload the new plugin to your site via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New.
4) Activate the plugin.
Okay, I’ll give it a try.
What will happen to the data within the events that are live now?
How do I save the data from the old version of the plugin and transfer/upload it to the new version?
Thanks for your help, Josh – I really appreciate it!
The data is stored in your site’s database, which is separate from the plugin. So you don’t transfer or upload the data when you install the new version of the plugin. You’re only removing and replacing the plugin, not the data.
