students are not able to register for and purchase tickets to events. When they click on register, it just shows the description of the event but no ticket selector and checkout option. I have done the following but no luck: |
Hi there, If you view the event using a default theme such as twentyseventeen does the same happen there? You can do that without changing the theme for your site visitors using the theme test drive plugin to change themes for the admin users only. |

I tried it in twentyseven and it worked. However, it has been working in the current theme just fine until two weeks ago. I really dont want to change the current theme. what are my options? |
What changed 2 weeks ago? A theme update? Can you send me a copy fo the theme so I can take a look and see if I can see the problem? Note whilst I’m happy to take a look, you may need to contact the theme author for a fix, I don’t know until I’ve looked at the code. You’ll need to host the zip file somewhere and post a link here for us to download, or you can send it to support[at]eventespresso.com if preferred. |

i am not sure what changed. i cant remember doing a theme update. How can i get a copy of the theme? |
|
Nevermind. i got the theme uploaded and shared for you here: |
Thanks for making that available. I loaded the theme onto a testing site and the event’s ticket selector and registration forms work OK on that site. May I ask does the issue resolve if all WP plugins are deactivated (except for Event Espresso?) |
|
|
Yes it works fine when all plugins are deactivated. how do i know which plugin is causing this failure? |
You activate one plugin, then check for the failure, then activate another plugin one by one until you find the breakage again. |
|
|
I found the plug-in that is causing the issue. It’s YOAST SEO. Is this a known issue? because it was working very well until two weeks ago. |
There are currently no known issues with Yoast SEO, although there’s the potential for individual settings within Yoast SEO to cause a conflict with some themes. It appears that with your theme in particular you’ll need to go to Yoast SEO > Social > Facebook, then disable “Add Open Graph meta data”, then save. The repeat for the Twitter card meta data option. |

Issue resolved with the steps you provided. Thanks a million. |
