Tickets Reservation Time

Hi,

I’m having issues with the ‘Tickets Reservation Time’.
I’ve set the Tickets Reservation Time to 30 minutes, and the payment status as pending, however, after 30 minutes the event don’t automatically get released back into the inventory.

I’m I missing something?

Hi Nic,

If you’re using EE3 then you’ll actually need to set the Default Payment Status to Incomplete. In EE3, the Pending Payment status will actually reserve the ticket for any unpaid registrations.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the quick response.

I had previously set the Default Payment Status to Incomplete, however, the events have registration limits on time slots. Unfortunately, 2 customers were on the site at the same time and managed to submit the form. The event only had 1 space for the time slot, so they both managed to book the event because each customer had submitted the form before the other had completed the transaction.

I don’t think this is something that will happen very often, but is there a way to reserve the slot for a set time after the form has been submitted while in the process of the transaction.

Yes Event Espresso 4 has that functionality but Event Espresso 3 does not.

Hi Josh

Unfortunately, I’m not able to use EE4 for the website.

I’m slightly confused as the ‘Ticket Reservation Time’ option is available in EE3 settings?

I would be grateful for a solution for EE3 as this will be a big issue for my other events as customers will be paying for slots which are not.

I’m sorry the solution for this is update to EE4 because EE4 fully supports datetime limits where EE3 does not.
