I’m trying to figure out the right way to sell a ticket that is priced for two people that will also capture two attendees. I use the Infusionsoft integration so that each attendee is added to our Infusionsoft account, which is why I want to capture both individuals as attendees.

The context is this: we have a marriage conference that we advertise and price per couple. I set the price of a ticket to be half the total cost, included in the event registration description on the page (in bold and italics) Remember to click the “Add More Attendees” button to include your spouse’s info as well. so that we would capture both husband and wife, and that the total price together would equal the amount advertised per couple. Sure enough, we had a guy register without following directions and only paid for his half. (Maybe he’s going to make his wife pay for the other half, which might be the reason they’re coimng. 😉 )

So, I want to make sure it’s idiot-proof and that we’re actually capturing both husband and wife as attendees, but have a clear ticket price and registration process that eliminates, or further minimizes the risk of someone doing what this guy did.

Is there a documented way to do this? Is there a workaround that is clear?

Thanks for the help. Love the product!

Hi Kevin,

I can’t comment on changing the code (beyond me personally), but depending on your need for features, EE4 has the capability to require a minimum number of tickets (FYI), not sure if that’s an option anytime soon?
