Hi Tony & everyone, I feel certain you have answered this for me, but I cannot find the details. Checked my tickets. So we want to charge a per ticket or per cart surcharge…and using the code from this thread (https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-ticketing-fee-or-similar-but-on-checkout-page-not-in-ticket-selector/), we were able to modify the Ticket Selector to show the base price. Now I would just like to have that surcharge or ticket fee show as separate item on the Registration Checkout page… Otherwise, customers will be confused and not understand. Can you remind me how to do this? Thank again. You guys are fantastic, no kidding. |
Hi Adam, Can you let me know where exactly you’d like to show the surcharge, please? It should display by default on the payment options step – http://take.ms/fI9bT Unless you have hidden/removed that from the output, or want it to display somewhere else? |

Hey Tony, normally we have some of those fields removed via CSS for a clean look, but with all the CSS removed, the surcharge does not show as a separate item. PLEASE NOTE: We are using the hook Josh told us about here, so that the Ticket Selector shows the base price: https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-ticketing-fee-or-similar-but-on-checkout-page-not-in-ticket-selector/ |
I checked on your site and I can’t see a surcharge price modifer on the tickets so there’s nothing to display? Were are you setting the surcharge currently? |

Ah, my apologies! I missed your test event. You have styles hiding the sub item rows: .item.sub-item-row{ display:none; } That’s from your fusion styles line 675. If you remove that rule the output will display the surcharge – http://take.ms/6NE6i |

Ah… I thought we may have CSSed it out but I couldn’t find it. However, now I notice that it is displaying the total with the fee in the first row. Then it looks like the fee is being added to another line. This could be very confusing to the user. Is there a way to separate the fee from the Event price then total it on the next line? Note your screen cap earlier. The ticket is $10 plus $3 fee. But it looks like $13 plus additional $3. NOTE for the moment I added the CSS to hide the sub-item until we get this completely figured out. Thanks. |
Hmm that’s due to a change we made within core, I’ll check in with our developers on this and get back to you shortly. |
