It depends, and maybe you can explain what you mean by “disable the ticketing add-on for events”. For example, do you have the Ticket Notice message type activated and you don’t want that email type to go out for specific events?
If so, then for those events you could create a custom ticket notice email, where the To: field is blank. Then you set the event to use that custom Ticket Notice email. This will effectively disable the Ticketing add-on for that event.
