We have an event tomorrow with 277 registrations.
Per the forum the best way to send an “event reminder” is to create a newsletter and we used the shortcode [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] in the newsletter.
We have this event on an annual basis and many are getting a ticket links for previous events.
I chose only the registrants for the current event.
Is there a better way or a better shortcode to use?

Is this happening with the current version of Event Espresso 4, or does the site have an older version?

We’re on 4.8.35 and we could upgrade to 4.8.40… was this addressed recently?

Hi Rob,
The users that are receiving the wrong ticket will be users that also registered onto the previous event.
In 4.8.36.p we changed the Newsletter message to allow for this:
Repurpose newsletter message type so it uses correct data depending on context
And yes you are using the correct shortcode.

Yes that should work fine.
Can you run a test email just selecting one of the user and log the email using WP Mail Logging to confirm before sending another email to all if you prefer.
