I’ve got 3 events on ee3 + volume discounts plugin, ticketing and multi-event registration. For each, we have:
Single Ticket = £35
Single Ticket + Hotel = £235
and we have a Season Ticket that is a single ticket for all three events (£35 x 3) with a discount -£10 = £90.
My question is:
– How can I serve season tickets? Should I just create a separate event?
– The attendee maximum is per event. Can’t you do a limited number of each ticket type? For example – “Single Ticket + Hotel” there are 10 of these, but there are 120 “Single Tickets”
Any advice would be appreciated. Right now, I think I’ll have to create an event per different type of ticket, which isn’t the best way to go.
In EE3 what you are after is going to be difficult to achieve, as there are no capacity limits based on tickets, instead the capacity is event wide.
EE4 alleviates this by allowing capacity to be set on both the datetimes and tickets so it is much more flexible.
Looking at what you need, then it’s a case of either creating an event per ticket and perhaps use Multiple Event Registration to allow customers to register for more than one event at a time, or swap to EE4.
We have a testdrive site set up for EE4 if you want to check it out withotu installing it: http://demoee.org
Yes, any ticket in an EE3 event will deduct from the events attendance capacity. That’s one reason why we overhauled it in EE4, it just allows much more flexibility.
We are currently working on a Stripe gateway for EE4 but there is no available timetable yet as we are also re-writing the gateway system in EE4 to allow for more features/functionality. We will of course announce it once it’s ready!
