I have a ticket template for 2 events which used to display OK 2 versions ago, November I think.

Downloaded latest version and ticket template does not now display, just global one, even though my template shows it is attached to two events.

What has happened?

Hi Mike,

Are the custom templates not displayed in the messages editor or are they not being used through the ticket for the event?

Could you double-check that a custom ticket is set through the event editor in the notifications area (appears towards end of the page)?

Next, could you go to Event Espresso –> Registrations and then look for a registration for the event that you just checked through the event editor and then look in the actions column on the right side of the page and click on the ticket link. You should then see the tickets open up in your web browser tab.

Is it then using the correct custom template?

Hi. Yes I have checked and the Template is showing as attached to both events, but it is not displaying any of the custom code I put in, for instance I have removed the QR code and Gravatar and added an image, none which are displaying: http://hotzoc.com/tickets/?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-b2918b357a31de91d538ce43edd5529b

This same template was working fine before I upgraded EE4.
Happy to send you an admin pass so you can resolve this for me. Thanks.

Hi Mike,

With EE4 if you use the EE4 Multi Event Registration Add-on on the site then the events will only use the ‘Global’ message template if you register onto multiple events at once. This is a limitation when using Multi Event Registration.

If you register onto individual events the custom template will be used for the individual registrations, but group registrations will use the global template for all tickets.

If you change the ‘Global’ template to include your changes that template will then be used for all of the events.

Hi The tickets you saw are for individual events, they are not part of a multi event. I have created two separate events. I have registered for both to test the registrations work. Please can I send you an Admin pass to sort this?

The tickets here:

http://hotzoc.com/tickets/?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-b2918b357a31de91d538ce43edd5529b

Are part of a multi event registration, one ticket is for the Teachers event, the other is for the Student/Parents event. That’s a multi registration.

I can’t sort this as it’s a limitation with the EE4 multi event registration add-on.

If all the tickets will look the same you can you can edit the default template within Event Espresso -> Messages -> Ticket.

Don’t create a custom template but edit the global template, that template will then be used for single and multi registrations.

I can take a look at how the tickets are set up if you prefer but currently the tickets output are how I would expect when using MER.
