I can’t change modify or add ticket information or the venue for the same event. If I trash or try to modify the expired ticket or add a new ticket or add a venue update, then save these changes they are lost. The page refreshes to show the same expired ticket without the venue update. Help…

Hi Bill,
If you start a new event, does it let you add tickets and change venues? If there are many tickets and datetimes, it may be the result of hitting the server’s max_input_vars limit. That’s the limit you hit once before, and was resolved by increasing the limit:

Josh, thanks for your reply. I changed the vars limit from 3000 to 3500. But, the problem still continues. Yes, can add tickets and also select an existing venue. But after saving the changes and then refreshing the page. All changes are lost. Your advice will be appreciated. Bill

I can help you troubleshoot this. First, if you start a new event, does it let you add tickets and change venues and then save as expected?
If not, then the next step is you rule out a plugin conflict. There’s more info here:

Josh, I’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist, turned off all plugins and the problem still exists. Could the recent upgrade of or website to PHP7 be the issue? I can’t change or add tickets to any of my events. Is it possible to purchase tokens to get expert support to fix this problem? If so, this may be my only option. Please advise. Thanks! Bill

If the site was upgraded to newer PHP, then what ever you change with respects to max_input_vars, may not be taking effect.
What you could do is go to your site’s Tools > Site Health > Info page, then click Server. On that page you’ll see a listing for PHP max input variables. What’s the number listed for that setting?

Thanks Josh, problem solved! The my upgrade to PHP7 didn’t capture the max input vars. All is fixed and all is well. Have a great weekend. Bill
