Hello,

We have a couple events that show up as sold out but are actually not. It looked like a ticket is reserved. Why is this happening and how can we reset it. I tried to change the Sold Out status but there is no option to release the ticket. The only option I see (top right corner) are cancel, postpone, draft, review.
Note, this is not a reservation that has happened within the last hour so, this has been there for a couple of days now.
Thanks for your help.
Kerstin

Hi Kerstin,

Why is this happening and how can we reset it.

A possible reason why that’s happening could be your site doesn’t have a way to schedule tasks. We’re aware of some sites where the wp_cron() function has been disabled. If that’s the case, the way to ensure those reservations get cleared is the wp_cron() function needs to be re-enabled. A quick way to check to see if wp_cron() is allowed to function is by installing this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/

Then visit the Tools > Cron Events page.

Then, to reset the reserved ticket count, you go to Event Espresso > Maintenance > Reset page, where you’ll click on the Reset Ticket and Datetime Reserved Counts button.
