When I use the shortcode of an event, it works fine. But when I try to use the shortlink, a ticket shows up twice. |
Hi ranchosouth, Are you using the Ticket Selector shortcode on the http://www.ccophoto.com/events/night-sky-private-photo-tour/ event page’s event description box? If so you can remove the shortcode from there by editing the event. |

Sorry, but I don’t get what you mean me to do? I want to be able to have a usable shortlink. |
|
If I create a new event and click on the view event option while on the edit event post, the tickets show twice. |
Can you provide more details on what it is you want to do, what is a shortlink? (A shortened URL?)
Without doing anything else, or than create an event, and clicking publich you get 2 sets of ticket selectors? Do you have any custom code hooking into EE at all? If you temporarily switch themes to a default one such as twentyseventeen does the same happen? You can do that without effecting your users using the Theme Test Drive plugin. |

Ok, the ticket does not show double on twentyseventeen theme. What now? It worked before with theme I use, but this way I can’t use EE anymore. Shortlink is the wording which is used on the event creating page. |
Sounds like your theme is doing something unexpected to the_content. Which theme are you using? Can you send me a link to download the theme so I can take a look? Are you loading any of your own custom templates for EE or are you hooking into EE at all to add your own functions?
Ah, ok, sorry I follow now. The shortlink isn’t the problem, that’s just the default ‘ugly’ link WP generates (not the ‘pretty’ permalink most people use). |

It’s the Magazine Pro ThemeVersion: 3.1 A mobile responsive and HTML5 theme built for the Genesis Framework. I did not have any adjustment done to EE. Thanks. |
If you can send us a zip file or a link to download a zip file of the theme in question we can investigate further. A file upload service like Dropbox works best, but if you want to attempt sending it via email (sucess may vary) you can can send the zip file to support at eventespresso.com. |
|
|
Thanks, I did send the theme zip file. Keep me posted. Thanks |
It doesn’t appear that you actually sent us a zip file. You sent an invitation to view the file, but I’m afraid the file is restricted. Can you set the file to be publicly viewable? |
|
|
I did upload it again yesterday. Did you get it? |
Hi there, The folder you have added the file to isn’t public, so dropbox doens’t give us access to it. The support email address you are giving access to the folder isn’t used for dropbox. Another option is to use a service such as WeTransfer: |
|
The copy of the theme that you shared is fine. The problem is the theme on your site. There’s some custom code on your site (most likely in the theme’s functions.php file) that’s causing the issue. If you’re not sure which code in functions.php is causing the problem, you can get an idea by viewing the theme’s CSS file (weird right?!). This is because someone tried pasting some PHP code there too. You’ll see the PHP code in the CSS file if you go here and scroll to the bottom of the stylesheet: http://www.ccophoto.com/wp-content/themes/magazine-pro/style.css?ver=3.1 The PHP code should be removed there, and anything similar should also be removed from the theme’s functions.php file. |

That did the trick. I remember I had to add some code for expired tickets not to show. It´s been a while back, so I don´t remember what exactly that was for. As long as it works again. This is great. Thanks a lot! |
