Ticket Selector Won’t Show on a page I just created, but shows up on all others. It showed up yesterday, but suddenly it won’t show up any more.

Ok, so what has changed on the site between when it worked and now?

Can you link me to the page so I can see if anything sticks out?

I updated Event Espresso. That’s the only change.

If you edit that event and look in the sidebar, under Event Registration Options is Display ticket selector set to No?

Thank you for your help, Tony. It is set to Yes. I’ve tried resetting it. I’ve made two duplicate pages and deleted them. Interestingly, I can create a test page and the Ticket Selector shows up fine, but as soon as I cut and paste in the contents of the page in question, the Ticket Selector no longer displays.

Okay, by lengthy trial and error, I found out the problem. As soon as I try to check boxes in the Event Categories, the Ticket Selector disappears. Unfortunately, I need to have the course link appear in two of the categories in Event Categories. Can you help?

Okay, further refinement as I continue to research. More specifically, the Ticket Selector disappears when I select “Specialty Courses” from the Event Categories, but it displays okay when I select “Online.” I need the course to display in both categories. Is that not possible?

OOops! I got it backwards. The ticket selector displays when I check Specialty Courses, but disappears when I select Online. Sorry.

Further investigation reveals that the system will allow me to check more than one Event Category, just not the “Online” category. Very strange.

Can you provide any help?

I have four Events Categories. I can check any and all of 3 with no problem. But when I check one of them (in this case the “Online” Events Category), the Ticket Selector disappears from the Event. Can you help?

Hi,

I’ve merged your other topic into this one. Please help us help you and do not create additional topics for the same issue.

Can you post a link to an event that’s been assigned to the “Online” category so we can take a look?

My apologies. I didn’t know what else to do. None of the other pages assigned to the “Online” Events Category require the Ticket Selector. Now I’m thinking that perhaps that function is somehow turned off for all in the Online Category? Anyway, here’s the link:

This appears to be something that someone added to your site. So maybe you can contact the site’s developer?

For example in the child theme’s style.css file,
https://cprdave.com/site/wp-content/themes/Avada-child/style.css?ver=5.0.3
on line 266 there’s this:

.espresso_event_categories-online .event-tickets {
	display: none;
}

then on line 387, there’s this:

.espresso_event_categories-online-courses-skill-sessions .tkt-slctr-tbl-wrap-dv {
	display: none;
}

There may also be some code in the child theme’s functions.php file that’s also attempting to remove the ticket by removing the html of the ticket selector.

Can you contact the individual(s) responsible for adding these customizations?

Hi Josh,
Thank you immensely for looking into this and getting back to me. I contacted the developer, and he fixed the problem. If I had known ahead of time that it was his CSS causing the problem, I wouldn’t have bothered you. Thank you again for your help.
