Hi!

I’m on EE 4.5-beta.032.

When an event is sold out, the ticket selector disappears. That’s okay. But I would really like there to be a text or something explaining why it’s disappeared, so I won’t get as many phone calls asking me why it’s gone.. ๐Ÿ™‚

Is there any way to acchieve this? Where does the core files check whether the event is sold out and decide not to output anything?

Once again getting no response from the Event Espresso crew, I had to resolve this on my own.

If anyone else wants to try out the solution I ended up using, feel free to get it from here: https://github.com/eivind1984/event-espresso-4-information-on-full-event

No guarantees that it works out of the box for anyone else, though.

Hi Emarienborg,

I notice you have posted multiple questions within this section, all of which have no response from ourselves so I do understand your frustration and apologise that it would appear we have been ignoring you. However the community forums are not actively monitored by ourselves for support questions, they are intended for discussions between other members on projects, advice, code snippets etc.

Please post support related enquiries into the premium support forums, posts within those forums show up within our support lists and will be answered by our support team, I will move some of your threads to those forums now.

Ah, sorry, I had no idea. I will start posting there, then. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

No need to apologise ๐Ÿ™‚

I just wanted to explain why your posts within this section have gone unanswered and that we have not been ignoring you is all.

As you have a solution to this thread already, am I ok to mark this resolved?

Yeah, I guess it’s resolved.

It would of course be nice to have this functionality included in the plugin, so if you want to note it as a feature request, please do.

The users I have talked to all find it confusing that the option to register for the event is gone, without any message explaining why. They get confused and wonder if they’ve done anything wrong, and I get emails with questions. So, just a tiny message saying “Sorry, this event is sold out” or something would be great.

Rather than displaying a message, would continuing to display the ticket selector work?
