Hi,

I am using EE4 and want to use an alternate registration page. When I include the ticket selector shortcode for the event on this page, and set the page to the be the alternate registration page in the event settings, the ticket selector disappears from the page and I only see the ‘Register Now’ button which loops back to the same page. When I remove the setting for alternate registration page the ticket selector is displayed, but of course the link from the events listings page no longer directs the user to the alternate page.

Please can someone help me set this up correctly.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Currently the ‘Alt Registration Page’ option is expected to use an External URL for offsite registrations, therefore when that option is removed the ticket selector no longer displays for that event but simply redirects the user to the URL that has been set.

We have an open ticket for this and I will add this thread there.

So you would prefer if the [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR] shortcode continued to display the ticket selector on a custom page regardless of the fact that the Alt Registration Page option had been set?

Hi Tony,

I would like to be able to create custom pages within my site for certain events, and these need to have the ticket selector showing. For now I have removed the alternate page option and the ticket selector is showing, but of course the link from the page that lists all of my events doesn’t point to the custom page, so that’s the issue.

I have added this thread to the ticket and created a feature request on our Trello board here:

https://trello.com/c/ecFnaHWf/84-allow-users-to-build-custom-registration-pages-using-the-ee-shortcodes

If you’d like to add any additional notes there please feel free to do so.

As you have found, currently the only way to alter the event links is using the alt reg page option but that removes the ticket selector as EE is expecting the user to be directed offsite.

I have requested some feedback from our developers to see if there is another option available.
