Hi, my set up is that the user can only purchase one ticket per event. I have set up:

Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event: 1

This converts the Ticket Selector into a Radio Button instead of keeping it as a dropdown. This is confusing because they are all pre-selected. If I add one to cart, the user has to select the radio button on the other items. Why would this change it from a drop down (if I select more than one for my max purchase items)? Is there a way to keep this as a drop down with 0/1 as the selection options?

I tried going into the Cog for the ticket and changing the Mix/Max.

Hi,

If I recall, this was added because many requested a radio button because they wanted “one less click”. Also, due to it being possible for events to have more than one ticket option, a radio button does make sense when it’s a “select this one or that one” type choice.

You can force a Quantity selection by setting a higher number to “Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event”, then set the ticket’s “Maximum Quantity” field to 1.

Thanks for the reply. I already tried your suggestion to setting max allied to a number higher than one, which does force the drop down. The issue is that on the cart page, the user can then hit the + button and add more to the quantity.

The other issue with the radio button is that on my archive page with the multi event add on, all the events radio buttons are selected by default. If I add to cart on any event, it triggers add to cart. Great. But if I return to my page, all radio buttons are now de-selected and the user has to click the radio button to add additional events to the cart, where the first time they didn’t. That’s why I was hoping to force a drop down, the radio button is a bit confusing.

I got around this by hiding the +/- buttons in the cart. I hope in future updates there is an option to change that.
