Ticket scanning app on iPad – not showing all the attendees?

Hello.

I’ve installed latest Ticket scanning app V3 on iPad.

On the server, I have:
EE Version 3.1.37.7.P
EE Ticketing Version Version 2.2.0.p
A JSON/XML API for Event Espresso Version 2.1.4.P

In the JSON API settings, I have set Events to 3 (because we have 3 OPEN ones, but 6 CLOSED ones), Attendees & Registrations to 1500 each.

When I go to the iPad and look at the i for info for the OPEN event it says SOLD 1000 (not true, it is more than 1000).

Why is this information not saying the true number of people registered and attending? I am worried that I won’t have a complete list of attendees on my ipad for ticket scanning.

Please can you help me fine tune the configuration so that I know it’s got what it should have.

Thank you very much.

Dee

I changed the iOS settings on the iPad for Event Espresso ticketing app so that Attendees & Registrations are unlimited. Now I can see all the sales.

There is a problem scanning QR code on ticket. First, it accepts with thumbs up. Then I scan again and it accepts again with thumbs up. I know from last year that it should be red with thumbs down. So, I can go on scanning 1 x ticket and it will always be green.

If I then go to person’s details, and click ‘check out’ sometimes that works, often I get ‘Check out failed! Checkouts Exceeded! You tried to checkout 1 when there are only 0 checked in on registration <idnumber>’

Thank you for your help.

Hi Dee,

Normally if the ticket quantity on the ticket = 1, the app will only respond with the thumbs up, then on any scan after that, it responds with a thumbs down. Does the issue you’re seeing occur if the site is temporarily switched to the default WordPress theme and with all non-EE plugins deactivated?

Sorry, Josh, I’m not switching out the theme on this live site. We have 24 hours until the event, ticket sales are at their peak.

I have seen, last year, the green thumb / red thumb scenario, so I know what it’s meant to do. And it’s not doing it now. Have you seen this before? What do you think it might be caused by? Almost as though it’s not synching back to the server, don’t you think?

Thanks
Dee

No I haven’t seen it before, and I think it might be caused by the theme or another plugin. Since you’re on WPEngine, maybe you can use their staging site feature to clone the live site to staging and troubleshoot there.
