September 11, 2015 at 10:37 am Wewant to sell tickets for our theater via a wordpress website. Now we use Eventcalendar to publish our perdormances. What addons do we need to switch to Eventespresso? We should be able to: |
Hi there, I think Event Espresso may work for your project but I did have a question. In Event Espresso 4, a ticket option would be needed for a datetime. A datetime is the date and time in which a specific event (e.g. show) takes place. For example, if you have an afternoon performance, then a ticket would be needed for that. If you had an evening performance, then another ticket would be needed. Approximately, how many shows would you have per day? — |

We have usually 1 show per day, but in a weekend, it might be a maximum of 3 And once or twice a year we might have a festival with multiple performances on one day |
Thanks, I recommend going with the business support license for Event Espresso 3 as it includes the recurring events manager. This will let you quickly build out a series of events (e.g. one a day) based on a schedule that you setup: https://eventespresso.com/pricing/?ee_ver=ee3 You could also go with Event Espresso 4, but in that case you would need to duplicate events to create additional events quickly as Event Espresso 4 does not have a recurring events manager at this time. Were there any other questions that we could answer for you? — |

I’ve got your point |
Hello again, You’ll need the ticketing add-on for tickets that could be printed or scanned using a mobile app. Payments via iDeal are available in the core plugin for Event Espresso 3. If you would like to offer the ability to select multiple price options in a shopping cart, then also select the Multiple Event Registration add-on. I also recommend the recurring events manager add-on so you can build out events quickly. Event Espresso 3 does have a duplicate feature but the recurring events manager would be quicker. — |

apparently we have a problem now using version 3: the currencyes are not in the european format (with kommaś instead of dots). Is it possible to switch to EE 4 after all? |
September 19, 2015 at 10:19 am Hello, you can definitely migrate to Event Espresso 4. Please take a look at these upgrade steps and do let us know if you have any questions: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#ee4 — |
