There is an inconsistency in how ticket prices are displayed in the registrations table view when I’m using a code with a 100% discount in testing. It changes based on if the code is added in the checkout process from the frontend, or later in the backend.
• If the code is used during registration, the ticket price is NOT displayed (column: REG_final_price), and the registration is marked with ‘Attendfree’ with no price (column: PRC_amount).
• If the code is added by staff on the backend, the ticket price is displayed (column: REG_final_price), and the registration is marked with ‘Attend’ with the price (column: PRC_amount).
I’m trying to show a total sales $ for the event, but can’t use the existing numbers if they aren’t consistent. Is there a fix for this issue or is there a column I can add that shows the price of paid tickets only?
I’ve searched & tested, here is what I found when working with discounts and looking at the “Viewing Registrations for the event” page (Events, hover & click Registrations):
SINGLE TICKET
If a code is added by staff after registration (from the backend) the TKT PRICE and FINAL PRICE are not updated to reflect the new price, but the TOTAL TXN is.
MULTIPLE TICKET
Same result for codes added after registration, but each ticket is displayed with the TOTAL TXN as the total discounted amount (10 tickets = 10 TXN TOTAL)
NOTE: This is NOT the behavior of TKT PRICE and FINAL PRICE if the code is added during checkout. It shows the discounted price.
So, I cannot simply SUM any of the columns to get a total on this page.
Thank you for that information and detail. We’ve assigned a team member to try and replicate the issue in detail so we can document it for our development team to look at it further.
