Hello,

I have one event setup for registrations and one event setup for tickets. I only want the event for tickets to send out the Ticket Notice email.

Is it possible to set it up so that the registrations event don’t get a ‘Print your ticket(s)!’ email, but the tickets event does?

Hi there,

We don’t currently have the option to disable specific messages on each event, but you can create a custom ticket template that is disabled and then set that custom template on the event which has the same effect.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Templates.

Find the Ticket notice template on the list and click ‘Create Custom’

Give that custom template a name you can identify (add ‘Disabled’ so you know that message is disabled for example), then set each context as inactive – http://take.ms/LXJgQ

(Note you’ll need to ‘switch’ the recipients to do each context, see: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/)

Then set that as a custom Ticket Notice template on the events you don’t want the ticket notice to send on – http://take.ms/CmQSI

Hi,

We’re currently on 4.9.36 and I don’t see that toggle on the custom template page, I’m assuming that toggle was added on a more recent version?

While we are planning on updating Event Espresso soon, I was wondering if there was an alternative solution for our older version of Event Espresso.

Yeah, that toggle was added in 4.9.46.p and whilst I do recommend updating it is possible to do this in older versions.

Rather than switching the toggle, set to ‘To’ field of each of the contexts to nothing and save.

When you look at the message template in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Custom Message Templates, the links for each context should show as grey, not blue – http://take.ms/mGphS

Blue/Normal links mean the context is active, grey means is been de-activated.
